Campsite reviews
This page is dedicated to reviewing the campsites that I have stayed at over the course of the week. Each header will direct you to the campsites website page.
Prices in season are around the £35 per night mark with additions for extra people, dogs, electric, awnings, extra cars.
Good sized fields with a mix of level and sloped pitches.
The site was very clean and the 2 members of staff i met were very friendly, I would hazard a guess that they were the owners.
The site is gated for security and this is locked between 9pm and 8am. So if your out for the day in your vehicle make sure you are back before the gates close.
There is a small but well stocked shop in the reception area and prices here seemed reasonable.
The shower and toilet block was very clean, the showers were free to use. A push button shower that gave powerful and hot water, lasting about 60 seconds before another push of the button required.
With the way the fields are positioned and sloping I would suggest that most pitches would have some sort of sea view, but the very end field for me certainly gave the best position.
All in all a very nice, friendly, spacious site that I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Gower.

Whitesands, St Davids, Haverfordwest SA62 6PS
A small and quirky site that is designed purely around the view of the Blueflag and Seaside awards Whitesands beach.
Its a small strip of land with enough space to park vehicles on both sides. I would say this is ideal for small campers and tents rather than big motorhomes.
The owner comes and goes throughout the day and takes payment when he finds you or you find him. They do not take prebookings and the electric hookups are on a first come first served basis.
Prices seem to be very fair and advertised that they have been fixed for the last 4 years.
Tariffs below.
Adults (16+) £12/night (all season)
Children (4+) £5/night
Hookups £8/night
Dogs £2/night
Awnings £1/night
Additional Cars £6/night
Shower Tokens £1
The shower tokens can be purchased on arrival and each token gives you 5 minutes of adjustable temperature, good pressure shower.
The toilet area in the block are small but well maintained.
Washing up area and chemical toilet disposal both available.
Campfires off the ground and BBQs both permitted.
All in all probably one of the most relaxed sites ive ever found and certainly one I will be returning to

Beddgelert, Caernarfon LL55 4NE
This campsite is all about the location and the views.
Its a large site with well spaced out pitches. The toilet blocks and washing up areas are very clean.
The village of Beddgelert is a 1 mile well sign-posted walk.
The site allows campfires and bbqs as long as they are raised. You can even hire firepits from reception for a reasonable price.
The staff are really friendly and willing to give you advise on the area.
Pricing in high season is £55 per night for 1 unit and 2 people. Additional people come at a cost.
For this price you get free showers and great WiFi.
The showers are nice and warm but a push of the button only give you about 15 seconds of running water before you have to push again.
All in all a great base camp for your Snowdonia adventures.
